Greene Lane Garage
This small 200 sqaure foot shed dates back to the 1800's. Tucked away in the neighborhoods of historic Newport Rhode Island. The light wood frame structure of the building was in tact but the cladding was highly compromised. This building was an original Sears and Roebucks garage.
The building was to be lifted off of the broken foundation so new a new slab and footings could be cast. The original structure would be assessed and reinforced if needed. The original barn styled door would be filled with a solid wall and a new door would be framed through the east facade. Cedar shingles would give this building a hint of Newport style and a pergola and cupola would add a touch of elegance to the hideaway.
