Project Description
The Pacific Visions team was hired to design a new two-story addition for a contemporary colonial in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. The owners of the property wanted to have additional living space for both their own family as well as guests for future parties and hosted events. Project scope also included renovations of the existing kitchen, mudroom, and powder room / laundry to improve accessibility and efficiency across the entire span of the first floor level of the house.

Proposed Interior Rendering - New Kitchen + Living Room Addition
The design for this project would provide a seamless open floor plan between the existing living room, dining room, kitchen and the proposed great room.
The style of the addition on the exterior would maintain the use of vinyl siding currently used on the existing home. On the interior of the addition, the owners were interested in having a shiplap ceiling with non-structural beams running down from the roof ridge on both sides of the new living space.
Our team produced renderings to show the improved amenities and features across the span of the addition and renovation project. The extensive open space and sight lines from one end of the house to the other create a suitable floor plan for both the family and their guests.
Proposed Interior Rendering - New Mudroom Renovation
“This two-story residential addition and renovation project provides the owners of the property with more breathing room for their family and greater amenities for hosting parties and events with their friends, family, and guests.”
